WorldWID Fellows will spend approximately two months in specialized training and mentoring in gender analysis and the field of WID at the University of Florida, with a component in Washington, D.C. being introduced to USAID. Fellows will then be placed for 3 to 9 months in field assignments in USAID Missions or funded projects overseas or, in some cases, in USAID Bureaus in Washington D.C. The length of time for field assignments is flexible and will respond to both Missions' and Fellows' needs.
