Strengthening Regional Economies Through NGOs (Strength): USAID/RCSA

DATEX was recently awarded a multi year ($13.6 million) contract to manage a grant program and provide capacity building and technical support to NGOs located in the southern Africa region. STRENGTH supports the goals of the Initiative for Southern Africa and works across several strategic objectives, including, democracy and governance. The types of capacity building initiatives supported under STRENGTH will include: financial system development, board development, human resources management, program conceptions, proposal development, program design and project management. The types of grants issued under STRENGTH include implementation, capacity building and technical support, and program development grants. Grants size range from $5,000 to $500,000.
