Environment and Natural Resources Information Center (ENRIQ): USAID/G/ENV
The Environment and Natural Resources Information Center was created for the United States Agency for International Development to improve the Agency’s management of its environmental initiatives world-wide. As part of the Center for the Environment within USAID’s Bureau for Global Programs, ENRIC provides a variety of services, including environment program analysis, budget tracking, information management and dissemination, and technical research and reporting on environmental issues of major concern to the Agency.
As part of ENRIC, DATEX developed a unique interactive financial management program that provided ready access to financial and accounting information on USAID's environment program. This program tracks USAID environment program obligations for each fiscal year, based on annual budget information included in the Agency's Report to Congress. Using this program, USAID was able to develop a variety reports in response to requests for information. When reporting requirements changed, DATEX's database managers and programmers adapted the program to meet the new requirements.
